Peter Tatchell has been a tireless activist for LGBT and human rights since the 1970’s. He is known for his particular brand of ‘direct action’. He has famously taken on the likes of Margaret Thatcher, Robert Mugabe, the Church and even Mike Tyson. His aggressive approach has made him many friends – and also many enemies.
Although he has been involved in over 3000 direct action protests, Melbourne born Peter Tatchell has never really had his own story told – until now. The new documentary – Hating Peter Tatchell – is directed by Sir Elton John with the likes of Stephen Fry and Sir Ian McKellen taking part.
